While Trap Kitchen is a crowd-pleaser, some guests mention limited parking options as a significant downside. The area can become quite congested, making it challenging to find a space, particularly during peak dining times. Another point of concern comes from the background music, which although adds to the vibe, could feature cleaner versions of songs to accommodate families dining with children. A few visitors have also noted that the restaurant can get quite busy, leading to longer wait times during peak hours, especially on weekends. These factors may deter some, but they don’t overshadow the overall quality and enjoyment of the restaurant experience.
Absolutely Delicious 😋 is the 1st thing I will say about Trap Kitchen Camden We came to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday as it’s his favourite place to eat They have the best Mac & cheese, seasoned, cheesy & stringy! The Bang Bang prawns were mwah 😙 chefs kiss Everything we had was yummy and we were all full and satisfied We wasn’t able to book in advance but they were able to accommodate 7 of us in a nice space by the front The decor of the restaurant was nice and simple with some beautiful art work on the walls The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant was spacious, the atmosphere was good, and music not loud so we could hear each other speaking, but some songs were inappropriate for kids to hear, so a suggestion would be to have clean versions of songs playing if possible Other then that we would definitely 💯 recommend as we had a great time and we are looking forward to coming back soon
We visited Trap Kitchen this evening to celebrate a birthday and had a great time! We were seen to by titilayo and she was great! She was very attentive, friendly and welcoming made sure that we were seated, took our order very quickly and made sure that everything was alright with our food and order! The food was good and the customer service was great! Will definitely be back again!
I went to the Trap Kitchen recently and finally got to try the fifty pound platter. The atmosphere was buzzy and busy , the staff were great and the food was great, no complaints. This place has gained a lot of popularity for serving delicious and innovative Caribbean style food with a modern twist. Their signature dishes, such as jerk chicken, mac and cheese and plantain dishes are highly recommended. The service is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the prices are reasonable considering the high quality of the food. It’s not far from Chalk Farm underground and is opposite the roundhouse. My only problem was parking. Overall, it seems like the Trap Kitchen in Chalk Farm is definitely worth a visit for those looking for flavourful Caribbean style, but also a bit creole based on the crabs and prawns, the food is served in a trendy and relaxed environment. It gets busy and has a very young client base.
Our experience at Trap kitchen was amazing, we missed our reservation time but they still accommodated us. The staff were AMAZING! Very friendly and sweet, the music was a vibe the whole night! The food was delicious! The snow crabs were so juicy, the mac and cheese was so cheesy! and the prawns were so good! A special shoutout to Ricky and Emmanuel, thank you for the laughter guys!
Food - 4/5 Service - 5/5 Ambience - 5/5 Cost - 5/5 I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect with Trap Kitchen but I was not disappointed. The portion sizes were very generous, we were all over-ambitious in thinking we would be able to easily finish the food! The quality of seafood and ingredients were good and everyone was happy with their orders. The staff were really friendly, funny, accommodating and helpful in regards to the menu, suggesting food and pairings - that was impressive and useful for first time visitors (who were all indecisive). I would recommend the mac & cheese, crab legs, all seafood dishes on offer, really! Parking is *very* limited and the tube station is roughly a 3-5 minute walk away.
WOW!!! I have been following this place on Instagram, but never been able to go. Decided to try our luck and walk in, the staff found us a table and we didn't have to wait long. I would of waited a week there if I'd had known how good the food was. The cocktails were so so strong and tasted good! We will definitely be going back for food, the staff are so happy and friendly they made sure we were comfy and explained all rhe food and drinks. Thanks for an enjoyable evening!!
I visited Trap Kitchen for the first time in March after a friend recommended it and honestly I've been dreaming about it ever since, that's how good the food was. Definitely in my list of top 5 London restaurants that I've been to this year. We had the Ballers Combo Bucket meal with lobster tail and it was amazing! I got the mac and cheese for my side and my friend got the Spanish rice and they were both really good. We asked to swap the chicken thighs for extra prawns and they easily accommodated this, which we appreciated. The portion sizes are definitely filling and you'll leave stuffed. I have recommended this place to so many people and will definitely be returning before the year is over. The music is good, the drinks were nice (we had the Zombie cocktail) and the staff are attentive. Only negatives were that the waffle dessert was quite basic and they didn't have the Smokey Cherry Bomb cocktail that we also wanted to try.
You can't go wrong with their juicy shrimps, flavorful crabs, and buttery lobsters. Don’t forget the mac and cheese and waffle topped with your favorite choice.
